ABOUT THIS SITE

The Friends of Henry Beston are dedicated to helping perpetuate the spirit, vision and legacy of writer-naturalist Henry Beston and his wife, writer Elizabeth Coatsworth for future generations. We gratefully acknowledge the creativity and artistic skills of our volunteer web developers which seemed to spring up like the fragrant herbs in Henry’s beloved garden at Chimney Farm. We are especially thankful for the help and inspiration of Henry and Elizabeth’s daughter Kate Beston Barnes, the First Poet Laureate of Maine, without whose help and inspiration this web site would not have been possible.

WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT AND DESIGN

Dave and Stephanie Johnson of 3rdkynd, a full service design firm based in Skaneateles, New York designed and developed HenryBeston.com. As web designers Dave and Stephanie have developed many cutting edge sites and have volunteered their time and skills as Friends of Henry Beston.
